About Hindigo

Hindigo is an independent project, designed and built in Toulouse (France). It is an Android app that helps you start a task by bringing it down to one single, concrete physical step.

Why Hindigo exists

Getting stuck often happens at the moment of starting, not in the organising. You know what needs doing; it’s the first step that won’t get going.

One more list doesn’t help if the first step is still too big. So Hindigo doesn’t try to organise your day: it only takes care of getting started.

How it works

A task goes in, one physical step comes out. The next step only appears once the first one is done.

• Voice or text capture. Say or type the task as it comes, with no formatting.
• One step at a time. Never a list: one concrete step you can do now, then the next one.
• HindigoShot. When describing the task already costs too much, a photo is enough: Hindigo looks at the space and suggests where to start. The photo isn’t kept.
• Focus mode and Plan mode. Focus shows one step at a time; Plan shows the steps and how long they take. You choose in your profile.
• Getting ready for an appointment. Before a fixed-time appointment, the app works out when to start getting ready and when to leave.
• Natural-language reminders. A sentence like “call the dentist tomorrow at 3pm” is enough to create the reminder.

Not to be confused with

Hindigo is a productivity app. It has no connection with the airline IndiGo.

Availability

Android. The app is being reviewed by Google before its release on Google Play.
